The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death

The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death is a turn-based isometric cRPG set in a fantasy world, resembling Baldur's Gate. It is a debut project of Autoloot Games studio, composed of industry veterans responsible for Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell games.

Plot

The plot of the game revolves around the titular Dark Trinity, composed of three powerful wizards drawing their power from nine cursed dark magic books. The player takes on the role of one of the best warriors of all races, whose task is to save King Jonah kidnapped by the Trinity and restore the peace.

Mechanics

The developers made combat and AI systems from scratch. We start the game by choosing one of the five available classes. Black Warrior is a typical warrior with superhuman strength and great hand-to-hand combat skills. Blue Wizard specializes in various types of spells that can both heal and deal damage. Elite Thief is a master of camouflage, able to use special tattoos allowing them to survive on the battlefield. Knight is great as a living shield that focuses on opponents' attacks and distracts them from other party members. Conjurer of Bones is a typical summoner who, apart from his beasts, can use the power of totems. In addition, during the journey and completion of the quests, we are often accompanied by independent heroes. All battles in the game are played in a turn-based system. Players can, to some extent, influence the degree of action in them and the pace.

The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death offers players an extensive map full of main and side tasks, and enemies. We can unlock over 5,000 different achievements. The system of skills and specializations allows for many solutions and unconventional character development scenarios. While wandering around the world, we will also come across many artifacts and objects that will increase the already impressive number of available combinations.

Technical aspects

Graphically, the production differs significantly from its classic predecessors. Locations are made with care and attention to detail. All the characters and elements of the environment have been created in 3D. The action and gameplay are always observed from an isometric perspective. The intro and cut-scenes use hand-painted backgrounds and drawings.
