The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is an adventure game designed for VR sets. The game was developed by the independent Swedish studio Fast Travel Games. The team consists of people who have previously worked on games such as Angry Birds 2, the Mirror's Edge or Battlefield series.

Plot

In The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets we take on the role of a character who has to help his grandfather recover stolen animals. To this end, the protagonist returns to the stories from childhood and the worlds created for their needs. His return to the past is an opportunity not only to discover its secrets, but also to recall his difficult relationship with his sister.

Mechanics

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is divided into stages, each of which takes place in a separate miniature world. For example, we can visit snowy landscapes, wreck of a pirate ship or island dominated by a powerful volcano. During the game, we observe the action from the eyes of the hero, and the pillar of the game is solving simple environmental puzzles consisting mainly of manipulating objects in the game world (which we grab and move, rotate or drop). In addition, by looking into every corner of the map we can not only find stolen animals, but also get carefully hidden coins.

Technical aspects

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets features colorful, cartoonish graphics. We can control the game both with the use of goggles (by moving our head we look around the game world) and dedicated motion controllers (using which we interact with objects).
