The Catch: Carp & Coarse is a fishing simulator where we can try to catch one of several dozen fish species. In addition to ordinary fishes, the game also allows to hunt for special "bosses", which are a unique challenge. The game was developed and published by Dovetail Games studio (creators of Euro Fishing and Fishing Sim World).

Mechanics

The Catch: Carp & Coarse allows you to fish in different corners of the world, both outdoors (e.g. in the American waters of Oxlease Lake, Pearl Lake, and the Ebro River), as well as in closed complexes (e.g. Linear Fishering). Depending on the place you choose, you can either put the fishing rod on the wharf or get on the boat.

More than thirty different species of fish are waiting to be caught, including truly exotic animals (e.g. Arapaima or Hoplias Aimara). In addition to the usual fish, players can also find more than one hundred and twenty unique legendary variants as well as 11 powerful "bosses". It is worth noting that catching the bosses is a real challenge.

While playing we have to pay attention to the movement of the water, which can move the boat or make it difficult to catch a fish. As the game progresses, we also unlock the new equipment. In the game you will find over a hundred fishing accessories created by real companies (e.g. Nash or Mainline Baits).

The most persistent players can test their strength in special challenges within the Championship system, thanks to which a number of unique accessories can be obtained.

Game modes

In The Catch: Carp & Coarse we can play alone, but the game also allows us to compete with other players through the online multiplayer mode. It is worth noting that in virtual tournaments you can sometimes win valuable prizes that are sent to users in the real world.

Technical aspects

The Catch: Carp & Coarse has nice, three-dimensional graphics. Both the environment and, above all, the models of fish species make a good impression here. The graphic design is complemented by a realistic lighting system that gives some scenes a truly charming atmosphere.
