The Black Masses is a RPG set in medieval reality. During the adventure, the player takes on the role of a survivor who tries to survive on an island filled with bloodthirsty possessed people.
The Black Masses is an open-world RPG developed by Brilliant Game Studios. The title throws the player on an island touched by a mysterious plague that turns humans into deadly creatures.
Plot
The Black Masses takes place on a medieval-inspired island measuring 16 square kilometres. Due to a mysterious event, all its inhabitants are possessed by the forces of darkness and turned into blood-thirsty zombies. The player, dropped in the middle of the action, tries to survive and at the same time discover what caused the outbreak.
Mechanics
The Black Masses is an RPG with real-time battles. The main tasks of the player are to explore the world, perform tasks and avoid possessed hordes. Of course, as a last resort, we can face them using a wide range of weapons - from melee weapons, through bow, to grenades.
In addition, the game also includes parkour mechanics. Our character can jump from building to building. Thanks to this it is possible to get to every corner of the map.
Game modes
The Black Masses enables us to complete a story campaign solo or in cooperation with up to four other people.
Technical aspects
The Black Masses uses a modified version of the engine from Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator. This allows more than 10,000 characters to be displayed on the screen at the same time.
