The Ascent: Cyber Heist

The Ascent: Cyber Heist is an expansion for the isometric cyberpunk action RPG. Curve Digital once again supported the Neon Giant studio, for which the basic version of the game made its debut on the market.

Plot

You get access to Cyber Heist content after completing the story campaign in the main game, The Ascent. After the game's finale, players are contacted by Kira, who has a new super-secret assignment for them. In order to complete it, it will be necessary to go beyond familiar territory and travel to an arcology managed by the Malhorst-Gelb Group.

Game mechanics

The Ascent: Cyber Heist is essentially identical to the main game, although there are plenty of new features. Previously absent locations hide unknown enemies and technologies, as well as weaponry. The latter includes melee weapons, which adds variety to clashes with enemies as you complete main and side missions, some of which continue the plots from the original The Ascent.

Game modes

Like the basic version of The Ascent, Cyber Heist lets you play solo or together with friends in co-op mode. Although access to content is unlocked only after completing the campaign in the main game, in co-op this requirement applies only to the session host. This allows you to invite people who have not completed the base game to play in the add-on as well.
