The port of a logic arcade game prepared by the experienced studio Natsume, which was originally released on arcade machines in 1996. The title enables us to have fun in the classic mode known from the original Tetris, as well as to check the developer's original variation.
Mechanics
Tetris Plus offers two basic fun modes. The first one is the classic version of Tetris, where the players have to arrange blocks falling from the top of the screen in such a way that they form horizontal lines from the left to the right edge of the screen. When this succeeds, the line is removed and the player gains points.
Puzzle Mode is a creative variation on proven formula. The task of the players is to arrange the blocks in such a way as to enable the archaeologist to reach the exit. The task is made difficult by a time limit, symbolized by a platform with blades falling from the top of the screen. Subsequent maps provide a different initial layout of the arena, forcing the creation of a specific path for the researcher. For the purpose of this mode, the devs created a simple story background, associated with discovering the secrets of ancient civilizations. In addition, Tetris Plus enables two players to compete on one screen in competition mode, as well as to create our own levels for Puzzle Mode.
Technical aspects
Tetris Plus is a colorful 2D game, in which the devs used cartoonish visuals and simple character animations. In the course of the game the players are accompanied by electronic music playing in the background.
