Test Drive II: The Duel Description
The second installment of Test Drive, a cult series of games from the turn of the eighties and nineties of the last century, allowing you to feel a substitute for riding fast racing cars, unattainable for the average road user.
The Duel, as the name suggests, will allow us to take part in the duel. Our opponent can be a passing time, as well as a computer or a living opponent. There are only two cars to choose from: Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959, and the game is designed in such a way that the opponent always drives in a different car than we do. If somebody was disturbed by boring open airs in the first part of the game, he will probably be glad that in Test Drive II, it is much better in this respect. This time we can race in a temperate, desert climate, as well as among the already known mountain peaks, densely diversified by tunnels. The authors have not given up the presence of the police, so again we have to be careful about the speed limits, although here and there it does not matter much, as we have to think about the passing time, or the opponent sitting on our neck all the time. There are also more cars on the roads, which does not make the task easier.
Graphics has not improved significantly, so someone who was disturbed by the archaism of the visual setting of the first part, will not be convinced to do so either. The biggest advantage of the game is riding against a friend, which takes place on one computer, thanks to the option of splitting the image.
