Plot
Teslagrad 2 is set in a steampunk world - in alternate Scandinavia, where highly developed technology exists alongside elements native to the local folklore. The game's protagonist is Lumina, a young Teslamancer forced to make an emergency landing once her airship was damaged. She ends up in Wyrmheim, a dangerous northern realm. To find her way home, she must set out on a journey to a massive abandoned tower looming over the fjord, discovering its various secrets.
Mechanics
Teslagrad 2 is a side-scroller. Just like in its predecessor, the gameplay revolves around magnetism and electricity. Using these two forces, Lumina can manipulate the environment, solve puzzles and fight off threats - these include hostile vikings and mighty beasts inspired by Norse mythology. Lumina's skills allow her to quickly and smoothly explore the game's world, made up of the soaring tower and the wilds surrounding it. She gradually acquires more skills and equipment, letting her face greater challenges and reach previously inaccessible places.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Teslagad 2 are hand-drawn and of very high quality. The first game's wordless, environmental storytelling makes its return here as well.
