Unusual sports game. We toss small bags, trying to throw them into a small hole. We play alone or with a dozen or so other players.
Target Toss Pro: Bags is a representative of the genre of sports games. It is also a conversion of the title, which originally debuted on slot machines. The Wii version offers mainly improved control and many modes of play that are absent from the original. This product is the work of the N-Space development studio, which is mainly famous for its pocket editions of such hits as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Target Toss Pro: Bags was developed exclusively for WiiWare customers.
The described product takes up a rather unusual subject matter. The task of the competitors is to throw bags filled with peas. There are four such objects in each round. The participants aim at a small wooden platform with a characteristic round hole located in the upper part of the game. The amount of points scored depends on the precision of subsequent throws. For tossing a bag on a wooden platform one point is scored. For obvious reasons, the best rewarded are those throws that end up successfully throwing such an object into a hole. The maximum number of five points, however, is only obtained if the bag falls directly into the target, without first bounce back from the platform.
The game's control model naturally takes advantage of the innovative features of the Wii console controller. With the appropriate movements, the controller simulates the tossing of successive bags into the air, based on three different techniques - Flop, Bounce or Slide. The player must also take into account the presence of additional factors. An indicator showing the current wind direction and strength is particularly important here.
Usually several teams take part in the struggle. Other teams can be controlled by artificial intelligence or other players. As many as sixteen people can take part in the network struggle. Audiovisual binding Target Toss Pro: Bags presents a relatively high level of workmanship. The action is observed from the perspective of a third person. There was no shortage of spectacular camera invasions on the places where the bags landed, or repetitions allowing you to track your last throws. The sound layer consists mainly of professional commentary.
