Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 PSP

Like previous productions from Tales of the World in the title, Radiant Mythology 2 is largely a collection of characters from other games, such as Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia or Tales of Symphonia. In total, we have almost fifty characters, including a few new ones, created exclusively for this title.

At the beginning of the game we also create the main character, choosing from among fifteen classes. Available professions are mainly standard classes known from hundreds of RPG games, such as a warrior, priest or magician. Fans of the first part will surely notice a few new options to choose from - a pirate, a monk, a paladin and two classes specializing in swords fighting have been added.

A novelty is an extensive equipment system. In the first part we could only equip our heroes with simple weapons and armour. Now we have at our disposal a lot of firearms, magic rings or spears.

However, the system of mission selection has not changed. The tasks are still accepted at the local guild's headquarters. Then we choose three heroes with whom we will perform the mission. Often our choice is limited by the requirements of the plot. There have also been no changes in the friendship system - some of the characters may simply offend us, which will prevent us from choosing them again.

The combat system is a solution well known from hundreds of other RPGs in Japanese style. After meeting the enemy we move to the arena. We can only control one team member at a time. Due to the fact that the fight takes place in real time, the rest of the team at the same time is led by artificial intelligence algorithms. The behavior of inactive wards can be configured to adapt their decisions to our predispositions.

Graphics in Radiant Mythology 2 squeezes the last juice from the portable console. Graphic designers have worked on this title - all the spells available in the game have been given new animations. The rest of the graphic design, i.e. heroes, monsters or the presented world, is of course the quintessence of manga and anime.
