Tales of the Abyss is a cRPG game created by Namco's Japanese branch called Team Symphonia. The title, like most productions from the Land of the Cherry Blossom, combines elements of fairy tales and manga - a far-eastern variety of comics.
The focus was on two people - Luke and his companion, Tia. The first hero is a young man who was kidnapped seven years ago by enemy invaders. As a result of traumatic events, he lost his memory, and after returning to his home town, his father Duke forbade him to leave his property so that the situation would not get worse. Surprisingly, the period of isolation allowed our guests to train physically and spiritually without any restrictions. Tia, in turn, is a sorceress who, after losing her parents, became a priest of Lorelai, an ancient religion. After several meetings, two people decided to set off on a journey to repair the world.
As befits real warriors, Luke and Tia are equipped with the right weapons. The weapon consists of various swords, halberds and other tools of annihilation. In battles with sinister enemies, we use several types of strokes and blocks. In addition, magic plays an important role. The spells we use represent almost all the elements, so there is nothing to prevent us from treating an opponent with a fireball to wet another opponent's clothes after a while. Circles located in the locations are also extremely useful during combat. When you enter a special field, you can strengthen the spell you are using, thus increasing the effect it will have on adversaries. Naturally, combat is not the only occupation of the heroes. They also travel between fairy-tale worlds, using sophisticated means of transport. They also develop their skills, both physical and mental.
Among the technical aspects of Tales of the Abyss it is worth mentioning the soundtrack. The Japanese version of the game was full of songs by native bands (e.g. Bump of Chicken). In the editions, sold on other continents, there were more works performed by a professional symphony orchestra.
