Takeda 2 is a sequel to Magitech Corporation's 2002 real-time strategy. Like its predecessor, Takeda 2 presents players with a turbulent period in the history of Japan - Sengoku Jidai - a period of civil wars waged by rival lords. The player takes on the role of Daimyo, a 16th century feudal lord who wants to win the title of Shogun - the most powerful commander of the Japanese army.
Takeda 2 game can be divided into two stages. The first is the planning mode, thanks to which we can watch our territorial gains, create and move armies, supervise cities and characters, engage in diplomacy or send ninja troops against enemies. It is played in rounds. The second stage of the game is three-dimensional battles in real time, thanks to which we can face enemies directly.
Takeda 2 offers:
- Authentic formations - thanks to them we have more control over our troops, which allows us to better control the chaos on the battlefield.
- Epic battles - thousands of units can participate in battles at the same time.
- Advanced system of human behavior - during the battle soldiers react realistically to emotional factors: morale, fatigue, fear. Low morale increases the probability of escape, fatigue makes the resistance much weaker.
- Characters - feudal rulers (Daimyo), generals, ninja warriors and royal families "live their own lives". Each of these characters has his or her own personality and ambitions. As experience grows, their skills and abilities improve. Characters can also use special items that significantly increase their statistics.
- Politics - creating covenants, arranging political marriages, managing relations between clans.
- Various terrains - positions on the hill improve the range of archers, forests slow down cavalry, mountains or rivers slow down the pace of the march.
- 3 campaigns - you can choose Oda, Uesuga or Takeda clan. Each of them has its own unique features to help in combat.
