Synergy is a city-builder strategy game in which we build cities in an inhospitable world. It was developed by the Leikir Studio team (authors of such projects as Metal Slug Tactics and Rogue Lords) and published by Goblinz Studio (under the brand Goblinz Publishing).

Plot

Synergy takes us on a journey to an alien planet, where humanity is trying to establish a permanent bridgehead. Our task is to build a prosperous city and provide convenient living conditions for its inhabitants. The matter is complicated by unfavorable environment and extreme weather phenomena.

Game mechanics

In Synergy we observe the action from isometric perspective. We do everything that is connected with building (and then - expanding) the city and its development. By constructing various structures and marking roads, as well as organizing expeditions, we have to constantly keep an eye on the resources, which amount is strictly limited. In addition, we should pay attention to the morale of residents, whose happiness is our most important goal.

All this is sometimes complicated by extreme weather conditions and various natural disasters, which we have to face. Fortunately, thanks to the changing seasons it is sometimes calmer here, which allows us to breathe a little; instead of focusing only on the fight for survival, we can then devote some attention to development. By sending people on missions, we gradually discover the secrets of the game world, so we can better choose the direction in which our city will evolve.

Game modes

Synergy offers extensive scenarios in which we are presented with various challenges, and also includes a sandbox mode, where we don't have to pay attention to any limitations imposed from above.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Synergy is made in a comic book style, which brings some associations with the work of Jean Giraud - the French artist known under the pseudonym Moebius.
