Sword & Fairy 6 is an RPG developed by the Chinese studio Softstar Entertainment. Contrary to what the title suggests, the game is the eighth installment of the cycle, which enjoys great popularity in China. The release of this game in the West was done by Eastasiasoft.

Plot

Sword & Fairy 6 takes us to a fantasy world inspired by the Chinese mythology, where the proper flow of energy was cared for by the Nine Sources created at the birth of the great god - Shen Nong. After the war between the three races - beasts, gods and humans - Shen Nong and the Sources disappeared without a trace. After years of feud between factions, the player enters the fray, and their task is to discover the ancient secret and restore balance in the land.

Mechanics

In Sword & Fairy 6 the action is shown from TPP. The authors provide us with a vast world divided into large, varied maps, on which we can move freely. The driving force behind the game are the tasks assigned by NPCs - by completing them, we gradually build our reputation in the land. The whole thing is complemented by puzzles and numerous mini-games diversifying the fun.

As we progress, new companions join us. Their presence is indispensable in combat both in real time and in turn-based mode (the devs provide us with a wide range of options enabling us to adjust the combat system to individual preferences). The key to success is not only to skillfully use the abilities of each team member and an extensive arsenal of melee weapons and magical attacks, but also to choose the right formation. In addition, during skirmishes we charge a special bar, which gives the option to execute a powerful special attack - when performed at the right moment, it can change the fate of many battles. In addition, over time we gain experience points and level up, so that we can face more and more difficult challenges.
