Swirus is considered to be the first Polish adventure game created for personal computers working under the control of the Windows operating system. The title was produced by the development team of Crazy Computer Confederation, and the release was taken care of by Mirage Interactive.
The plot of the game concentrates around the plot of a crazy scientist, who threatens to destroy the world. Unfortunately, his demands remain unanswered by the authorities, which leads to tragedy. Many years later, mankind's deficits invent time travel technology, so that a warning can be passed on.
The player plays the role of the inhabitant of a small Polish city from the 80s of the last century, which received news from the future. It is in his hands to save the world. However, this is not easy given that the way to overcome the danger will have to be found in the past, many centuries away.
As befits a classic point'n'click adventure, the player visits other locations, talks to independent characters, searches for various objects and solves more or less complex logical problems.
Swirus's visual setting is based on two-dimensional graphics in a comic style. A very limited palette of colours (only 256 colours) and a small number of animations compensate for the humorous references to the Polish reality of the 80s and 90s of the 20th century.
