Survival: The Ultimate Challenge is a simulation of life with elements of strategy and action game, created by Techland studio in Wroclaw. The player's task is to direct the actions of a group of survivors to ensure their survival until help arrives. This requires, among other things, efforts to satisfy basic living needs, as well as concern for maintaining an appropriately high morale.

Survival: The Ultimate Challenge is a response of the Techland studio to the popularity of Castaway: Beyond the World and TV programmes in the style of Risk. Production combines elements of life simulation, real time strategy and action game.

The player's task is to lead a group of survivors who are far from civilization. This requires satisfying basic physiological needs (hunger, thirst, sleep), as well as caring about maintaining a sufficiently high morale.

The game is divided into a number of missions with randomly generated maps. The challenges faced by the player depend primarily on the climate of the location - the struggle for survival in the tropics, the desert or the ice-ridden desert looks different. Demolitioners need food, water, a safe resting place, clothing, tools, medicines, etc. They are threatened by wildlife, extreme weather conditions as well as too low or high temperatures.
