Supraland: Six Inches Under

Supraland: Six Inches Under is an action adventure game, part of the Supraland series. It was developed by Supra Games, an independent studio which draws inspiration from such series as Portal, The Legend of Zelda or Metroid. Initially, this project was supposed to be an expansion to the first part of the series. Over time, however, it grew so much that it reached the size of a separate game. It can be called Supraland 1.5, because it contains many elements known from the original installment, while introducing a completely new world with a handful of new mechanics.

Mechanics

Similarly to the previous part, the game is played from the first person perspective (FPP), largely based on exploration and solving various puzzles. The hero wanders through locations full of secrets, fighting with encountered opponents, and the world he knows expands with the amount of skills he acquires.

Developers, guided by the experience gained during work on the previous game, decided this time to separate combat from puzzles, so enemies do not get in the way while solving them. To add more variety to the gameplay, new types of enemy units have been introduced, which react differently to the protagonist's approach. The player must also be more inventive in disabling them.

Game modes

The game can only be played solo as part of an extensive campaign.

Technical aspects

Supraland: Six Inches Under features the graphical style known from the previous instalment. Thus, this game has a 3D graphic design, characterised by vivid and eye-pleasing colours.
