Mechanics

In Supermarket Shriek the action was shown from the bird's eye view. There are 32 different stages waiting to be completed here, in which we are moving between the shop shelves on time (it should be as short as possible if we want to get the maximum score for our actions), racing against opponents or looking for specific goods. The matter is complicated by the fact that the route is swarming with various obstacles like sinkholes or moving platforms, and if we run into one of them, we have to start from the beginning. Between the levels, we hit the street of the British city acting as a HUB.

A characteristic feature of Supermarket Shriek is the control system. Whether you're playing alone or in the company of another person, the shopping trolley is operated with just two buttons. The first one is responsible for screaming one of the characters and turning left, the second one is responsible for screaming his companion and turning right, while pressing the two is responsible for screaming both and driving straight.

In co-op mode, each player has only one button at his disposal. However, the game is better after connecting the microphones, because then you control the shopping trolley with your own voice, in a way similar to playing with buttons. The game measures the volume of our shouts, which, as you can easily guess, not only requires proper synchronization, but also leads to countless funny situations.

Game modes

Supermarket Shriek is perfect as a friendly game, with a party mode for up to eight players. In addition, a co-op mode is waiting to be checked, as well as a single player campaign.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of the Supermarket Shriek has been maintained in a cartoon-like, caricatured style. The graphics is colorful and clear.
