Superhero League of Hokoben is a hybrid of the classic adventure game and RPG. As far as the first element is concerned, there are clear elements from other Legend Entertainment productions. The player will observe the action by means of static pictures, lavishly dotted with text, collecting objects and using them during the action. RPG elements are best visible during the fight against criminals, which superheroes will run at every step. The team, described by means of several coefficients, will attack the opponent using both traditional and paranormal abilities. After a victorious battle, she will gain experience points, which will be useful for the development of further skills. The game is divided into consecutive missions, which will be transferred to the heros' headquarters by means of an on-board computer called Matylda.
The game is filled with a specific humour on the verge of absurdity. Lawyers attack heroes with lawsuits, while hamburger-filled New Yorkers try to do the same with highly toxic bubbles. Of course, the team doesn't stand out from them in any way, for example RoboMop is an intelligent food processor who can clean up any mess and Tropical Oil Man can raise the cholesterol level of his opponents. The large amount of text that appears on the screen is kept in a frivolous tone and the comments made by the heroes after reaching a given location often fall off their feet.
Superhero League of Hokoben is a proposal for more demanding players. Tasteful audio-visual setting cannot match the brilliant comments of the characters, so the basis here are the texts displayed in huge numbers.
