Superbike World Championship

The first title from EA Sports' Superbike series, which allows you to take part in the title motorcycle championship. Unlike many other representatives of the genre, special emphasis was put on the high realism of the game.

"The "Superbike World Championship" offers several standard play modes - a single race, training or a complete championship, which are also the main attraction of the program. In the latter case, of course, the presence of all the necessary elements that make up the next events - trainings, qualifications, warm-ups and finally Sunday races. Separate network modes have also been developed to allow eight people to pull together on one track at the same time. A significant influence on the course of the whole game has the choice of one of the two driving styles - arcade or realistic. In the first case, the player has at his disposal a whole lot of simplifications, thanks to which he can enter the competition without unnecessary preparation. The simulation mode has been designed with the real world champions in mind. Here the player cannot afford even the slightest mistake, especially with realistic rules (penalties for false start, cornering, careless driving) or random faults. Regardless of the driving style you choose, you should determine the overall level of difficulty of the game, which has a decisive influence on the behaviour of other motorcyclists. In addition, it is also possible to determine the weather conditions for a given track.

The authors of the game have prepared twelve objects, which are directly based on their real equivalents. The most interesting routes are Laguna Seca (USA) and Monza (Italy). It is worth mentioning that special emphasis has been placed on the most faithful representation of the famous bends or important objects located at the track. The fleet includes five models - Yamaha YZF, Suzuki GSX-R, Kawasaki ZX7R, Honda RC45 and Ducati 916. In the competition there are teams known from real championships, so each of the available motorcycles is covered with sponsorship stickers. In case of choosing the simulation mode, the player has a lot of possibilities to modify his machine. It can, among other things, determine gear ratios, choose the right tyres or change suspension settings.

The game's visuals are detailed, both for motorcycles and track. Spectacular crashes or the effect of burning rubber at a sharp start were also taken care of.
