Superbike Racing is the work of IncaGold, a British company specialising in low-budget productions. The developers' assumption was to create a game combining the features of a professional motorcycle simulation and dexterity races.
The player takes on the role of a competitor and takes part in exciting motorcycle races, competing with computer artificial intelligence or a living opponent. The creators prepared 9 different tracks (including street tracks) and several models of machines that can be raced.
The game offers three play modes. Practice enables you to improve your driving skills. A single race allows you to compete against your rivals on the track of your choice. In championship mode it is possible to take part in the full cycle of competitions and reach for the dream cup for the best motorcyclist.
The driving model used in Superbike Racing has many simplifications. However, the realism of the game is given by the possibility of configuring some elements of the motorcycle (e.g. type of gearbox, tyres), as well as changing weather conditions, which influence the behaviour of the machine on the track (adhesion, braking distance, etc.).
Three-dimensional graphic design of the game stands out from competitive productions. Although the creators of the game have tried to find solutions such as the possibility to choose from several camera settings, the quality of workmanship of motorbike models and the detail of the track environment leave much to be desired.
