Retro style tower defense strategy, produced by Swedish studio Coffee Stain. The player's task is to defend the energy source on the planet attacked by aliens, and the game is mainly about building and expanding defensive structures. The game is a spin-off version of the Sanctum cycle.

Super Sanctum TD is a production of the independent studio Coffee Stain created mainly for fans of the Sanctum series. In contrast to the main scenes of the cycle, in the spin-off the developers tempted themselves to follow the classic tower defense strategy in a retro climate.

Super Sanctum TD takes place on the screen of a slot machine located in the main headquarters of the characters of Sanctum 2. According to the plot of the series, the plot is only loosely outlined and shows the struggle with aliens who want to get inside the base and destroy the energy nuclei contained in it.

Like classic tower defense strategies, the player's task is to stop the waves of intruders using a variety of defensive structures. It is crucial that the turrets are correctly positioned on the boards so that the attackers stay within their range of attack for as long as possible. Money gained by eliminating enemies allows you to build new or expand existing structures and increase their effectiveness. In addition, special skills (e.g. smart bombs or freezes) can be used to help defenders.

Super Sanctum TD features an intuitively simple control system. At the same time, the level of difficulty is high enough to challenge experienced strategists as well. The creators also took care of a rich collection of wrecks, which can be acquired and developed during the game.

Super Sanctum TD audiovisual setting is stylized on a retro game with two-dimensional graphics presented in isometric projection, clearly marked pixelization effect and midi music background sound.
