Developed by an independent studio Pixel Blast, a mobile platformer classified as an endless runner. The main hero is a boy who lives in a world oppressed by cruel robots. He is the only one who can stop the tyranny of the machines. The early stages of Super Powerboy strongly resemble typical endless runners – the speeding protagonist can jump, slide, thus avoiding obstacles and enemies.
Super Powerboy Description
Super Powerboy, released on iOS and AND, is a platformer with infinite gameplay, produced by independent studio Pixel Blast. The title - characterized by a surprising depth of gameplay and truly Pixar audiovisuals - was released in a premium model.
Plot
The main character of Super Powerboy is a seemingly indistinguishable boy, living in a futuristic world where humanity is oppressed by cruel robots. In reality, however, he has a lot of courage and finally decides to face the automated enemies.
Mechanics
At first, Super Powerboy doesn't stand out from other 2.5D platformers with infinite gameplay - the hero can jump and slide to avoid obstacles and opponents. However, after a few moments with the game we can discover that it has much more to offer.
Over time, the player reaches higher experience levels and unlocks further elements of the special suit, which gives the hero new, valuable skills. Shoes allow you to grind and reach new places, the blaster is for shooting down robots, reinforced armor protects the boy from obstacles, and the shield allows you to deflect bullets. Super Powerboy is characterized by a high level of difficulty, but at the same time, it provides a lot of satisfaction.
Technical aspects
It is also impossible not to pay attention to the beautiful, prerendered 2.5D graphics, maintained in the style known primarily from the excellent animation by studio Pixar (such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo or Cars).
