A top-down (bird's eye view) racing action game produced by the independent New Star Games studio. The player takes part in spectacular small races, but heavily armed vehicles, and his goal is to reach the finish line at any price before his rivals.
Super Laser Racer is a proposal of the British New Star Games studio, known primarily from the New Star Soccer series of football simulations, addressed to enthusiasts of classic, arcade racing games with a bird's eye view.
The action of the game is set in a geometric universe. The player takes on the role of a participant in ruthless races in which small but heavily armed vehicles compete. The goal is clear - you have to reach the finish line before others, without hesitating to use all possible means to secure your victory.
The competition takes place on 24 tracks and the number of tracks can be increased with a simple editor. There are also 12 futuristic racing models available (some of them must be unlocked beforehand) with different parameters. The arsenal of weapons that vehicles can be equipped with includes bombs, cannons, lasers and mines, among others.
The game offers several gameplay variants for single or multi-player games. Players can try their hand at 8 tournaments, as well as in special modes - Eliminator and Survival. The best results are presented in online rankings.
The two-dimensional Super Laser Racer visual setting is kept in a minimalist style. The shape of the vehicles and track elements are marked only by clear neon lines. Dynamic combat sequences along the racetrack are accompanied by multicolored streaks and explosions.
