A production which combines the features of brawlers and shoot'em ups. Over the course of the game, we play the role of a girl who is trying to stop the rebellious Artificial Intelligence from taking control over a futuristic city. The gampeplay in Super Crush KO revolves around constantly moving to the right and spectacularly eliminating everything that stands in our way.
Super Crush KO is a hybrid of the shoot'em up and brawler genres. The production was developed by the independent studio Vertex Pop, a team whose portfolio includes the warmly welcomed We Are Doomed and the genre related Graceful Explosion Machine.
Story
The storyline in Super Crush KO is only a pretext for the dynamic gameplay. Players find themselves in a futuristic city and travel through it in the skin of a brave girl. Our task is to stop the rebellious Artificial Intelligence from conquering the metropolis.
Mechanics
In Super Crush KO the action is shown from the side. The gameplay revolves around moving towards the right side of the screen and eliminating everything that stands in our way - from ordinary opponents in enourmous quantities to much more powerful bosses. During fights, the protagonist uses both strong hand-to-hand attacks and firearms, that let her eliminate enemies at a distance. Our actions are continuously evaluated by a scoring system - in order to get the best possible result (which can then be posted on the internet leaderboards), you should combine attacks into spectacular combinations.
Technical issues
The two-dimensional graphics of Super Crush KO are maintained in the candy style characteristic of the previous works of the Vertex Pop studio. The gameplay is accompanied by a soundtrack which tries to warm us up to battle.
