An independent arcade game, which is an improved version of 2014 Super ComboMan; similar to that original edition, it was developed by Interabang Entertainment - a company located in San Francisco and founded by a few friends that had met during their studies.

Super ComboMan: Smash Edition for PS4, PC and XONE is an improved version of an arcade game, which came out in 2014 – it combined elements of platformers and fighting games together. The game stands out with its hand-drawn, 2D graphics with an art style inspired by manga comic books. Super ComboMan: Smash Edition was created by Interabang Entertainment – a small, San Franciso-based company founded by a few colleagues that had met during their studies.

Mechanics

The game is a 2D platformer requiring the player to eliminate countless adversaries while going through subsequent levels. Super ComboMan: Smash Edition draws inspiration from classic platformers and 2D fighting games, which inherently remain associated with arcade game rooms in the minds of many older players. As a result, being highly dexterous and familiar with the combat mechanics is what matters the most.

The game offers 16 levels, a system of attacks based on physics (the players can create their own combinations), as well as a series of special attacks that can be unlocked and upgraded. Super ComboMan: Smash Edition also features a training mode and a large number of hidden stickers/stamps to be found. The game offers only a single-player experience.
