Super Bust-A-Move, released on PlayStation 2 and PC is the fifth installment of the rather popular game series. These products combine elements of logical games and popular arcade games. We are dealing here with an interesting version of Tetris. The main difference is that we shoot the colored balls to match the objects at the top of the screen. After combining at least three balls of the same color, we can make them disappear. Of course, the player cannot afford to make too many mistakes. In addition, balls need to be fired relatively quickly. This version does not introduce any new solutions in this respect. Instead, it uses mechanics proven in previous games. Super Bust-A-Move was developed by Taito, also known for series such as Ys and Battle Gear.
Game modes
Super Bust-A-Move has three basic game modes. In the main game mode, we have a dozen or so levels that do not differ much from each other. The only difference is that the next stages are more and more difficult, thus requiring the player a very high precision and a good reflex. In the second mode, we have the opportunity to fight a duel with an opponent of our choice and according to strict rules. However, you can't count on the possibility of discovering some initially unavailable bonuses. The last mode is associated with multiplayer mode. Two people can join a fairly standard duel.
Technical aspects
Super Bust-A-Move doesn't offer spectacular audiovisuals. Both versions present a very similar level. The game, however, has a very transparent user interface.
