Super Bomberman R is another game in the popular Bomberman series and a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, developed by Konami. The game has 3D visuals, but we observe the action from the classic top-down perspective. We play as the titular Bomberman, and our job is to eliminate enemies we encounter on various maps with the bombs at our disposal.

Mechanics

The action in Super Bomberman R for PC, SWITCH and etc. is presented from a top-down perspective. We play as the titular Bomberman, and our job is to eliminate the opponents and rivals with our primary weapon, bombs. Even though the gameplay rules are really simple (planting bombs on the game’s levels), Super Bomberman R also has some tatctical depth. The key to victory lies in using the level’s environment and trapping our enemy so that they cannot escape.

Game Modes

Super Bomberman R offers both single player and multiplayer modes. The Story Mode (single player) can also be played in two-players coop. The campaign consists of 50 levels that are all in an urgent need of bombing. The Battle Mode (local or online multiplayer) allows up to eight players to compete against each other.

Technical Aspects

Super Bomberman R for PC, SWITCH and etc. has 3D visuals and an original soundtrack. Professional actors voiced each character in the game.
