In Stygian: Outer Gods we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). While traveling through the dark corners of Kingsport, we not only get to know its inhabitants, but also learn more and more about the creatures haunting this place, and we even have the opportunity to come face to face with them.

On the way, we carry out quests and solve various puzzles, which gives us access to new areas of Kingsport and its surroundings, such as the old village, a mysterious residence, dark undergrounds, gloomy cemeteries, and finally a lighthouse, which towers over the settlement.

During the game we get our hands on firearms, but ammunition is a scarce commodity, so direct confrontation with opponents is rarely an option. We often have to act quietly and sneak behind the backs of adversaries, as well as resort to escape when we are noticed.

It should be remembered that contact with supernatural beings and a sense of danger do not leave the protagonist's mental health unaffected. The madness he may fall into is reflected in the behavior of the inhabitants of Kingsport and the enemies. Additionally, the decisions we make during the game affect the course of the story and its ending.

As we progress, we gather materials and recipes that allow us to produce useful items - from weapons, through tools, to various medicines. Over time we develop the character, unlocking new skills, and also acquiring powerful artifacts.
