Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town offers simple gameplay mechanics. Players take care of a declining farm. The whole game is about buying seeds, planting, harvesting and selling crops and taking care of animals.

Additionally, the interactivity of the world has been taken care of. During the game, players can interact and build relationships with NPCs. If they are sufficiently intimate, it is also possible to start a family.
