Steel Division 2: The Fate of Finland

Steel Division 2: The Fate of Finland is an expansion to the Eugen Systems' Steel Division 2 strategy released in 2019. The DLC moves the player to the Leningrad Front in 1944, where it takes control of one of the two sides of the conflict - the Soviet Union and the Finland allied to the Third Reich. There he will take part in the fight for the Karelian Isthmus.

Mechanics

Steel Division 2: The Fate of Finland does not change the game mechanics. Again, the player is dealing with a hybrid, where in turn-based mode, on the battlefield plan he develops a strategy and manages units, and in he fights the enemy in real time.

The developers focused on adding new content. The expansion introduces over two hundred new units, including the T-26E tank, the ISU-122S self-propelled gun and the P-40 Kittyhawk fighter. In addition, there are six historical divisions in the DLC, such as the Finnish Armoured Division, 122nd Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) or the Soviet 358th Rifle Division.

Game modes

Steel Division 2: The Fate of Finland launches a new feature campaign and two historical maps to the skirmishes - Fate of a Nation and The Last Battle.

Technical aspects

Steel Division 2: The Fate of Finland is not a stand-alone add-on and requires a basic version of the game to work.
