Mechanics

The world of the game is two-dimensional, while the action is seen from a side perspective. Our task is to defend a tower that is located in the center of the screen. The player installs various turrets that are tasked with the defense against the incoming enemy forces. The individual turrets are equipped with different types of armament, useful against different types of opponents that include armored, flying or simple infantry units. From time to time, we also encounter a powerful and much bigger boss unit.

The time between the battles is spent on developing a secret steampunk town. The player can research new technologies that give them access to new weaponry. However, that’s not all – the game offers an extensive storyline in which we employ a large-scale, fictional map of Europe containing a wide range of cities. Our task is to conquer new areas, send agents on secret missions and build tracks that allow us to transport resources and spies.

Game Modes

Steampunk Tower 2 is a single-player only game.

Technical Aspects

The graphics in Steampunk Tower 2 are two-dimensional. This, however, does not mean that the visuals can be added to the list of shortcomings – we receive a tasteful color palette and an interesting artistic style, especially evident in the turret and enemy models.
