Gameplay

In StarKeeper everything related to running a cosmic tavern rests on our shoulders. We must serve customers visiting us from various corners of the galaxy, whose species and faction affiliation influence their preferences and needs. Among them, we will find both carnivores and vegans, as well as both peacefully inclined beings and members of intolerant groups prone to conflicts. The latter ones in some extreme cases may refuse to stay in the same room with representatives of other factions.

In order to meet everyone's expectations, we must take care of the appropriate decoration of the tavern and rooms for our guests, which we can maintain in various styles - from military, through futuristic, to religious. It is also worth thinking in advance about the appropriate infrastructure, because in addition to tables and chairs, our tavern should also include such objects as decontaminators, game machines or fuel dispensers. We unlock new decor elements by interacting with factions.

Above all, the success of our tavern is determined by what we serve. During our cosmic voyages, we visit various planetary systems, and as a result - we gain access to a variety of planets (including tropical and ice-bound ones), which are a source of valuable components. Additionally, we use specialized kitchen tools and new technologies to expand the menu, which we unlock during the game. They allow us to gather resources from asteroids and process them, or even to build greenhouses and worm nests.

If we do everything right, news about our tavern begins to spread quickly throughout the cosmos, which is reflected in gathering more funds. Thanks to the money earned, over time we can employ more and more robotic workers who will relieve us of many tasks. Unfortunately, we cannot influence everything here. We regularly have to deal with the negative consequences of random events, such as flying through nebulae that change the mood of guests, encountering destructive meteor showers or, finally, being a witness to galactic wars.
