Yoda Stories is the second casual adventure game after Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures, created by LucasArts especially for Windows 95 users. The series was created to provide a simple and not too absorbing entertainment during breaks for everyone, spending long hours with Microsoft's latest "windows".
The action of the game takes place in the famous universe of Star Wars and takes place somewhere between the events shown in the Empire Counterattacks and those from the Return of the Jedi. We play the role of a young Luke Skywalker who comes to Dagobah to train at his master's place. The aim of the game is to carry out further missions, not related to each other, commissioned by Yoda. They depend, amongst others, on releasing a person or finding a specific object. At any time we can ask for help from the accompanying R2-D2, which is especially useful for beginners.
Events in the game are not linked to each other by any plot, Yoda Stories does not have a typical ending. The game world is generated randomly with each game started, and the area we explore consists of 100 screens. During the mission we will solve puzzles and, of course, fight the opponents we meet, using different types of weapons and the power of silence. Medicines found during the journey will help us to improve our health, and for scrap and money we will be able to buy various useful items from local traders.
Graphic and sound design of the game is quite old-school. The game takes place in a scaled window. We control our hero with a mouse or keyboard. Depending on your preferences we can adjust the speed and difficulty level of the game.
