Star Wars: X-Wing Description
X-Wing, together with Wing Commader, actually started the era of space simulators on PC. Set in the extremely popular Star Wars universe, it quickly became a hit and saw several additions and sequels. The action of the game takes place parallel to the first part of the film (Episode IV: New Hope), ending with an attack on the first Death Star. The player takes on the role of a cadet of Rebelant forces, a novice pilot of X-Wing fighters, to fight cosmic battles with Imperial forces. The game introduced an innovative system of training and battles, which is still in force today with minor changes in Star Wars simulators. After completing each mission we are awarded
In X-Wing we have three ships at our disposal: X-Wing, Y-Wing, A-Wing. Each of them has been exceptionally well-developed, has its own characteristic weaponry, speed and maneuverability, as well as resistance to hits and damage. You can test your skills in training bases, view videos of battles, check technical data on basic machines, as well as fight in various missions and battles, including historical ones. During combat you can use special functions such as invisibility or eliminate the effects of collisions between ships. Two years after the creation of the game, Lucas Arts resumed the game on CD, enriching it with voice, compact music, new missions and additional graphics inserts.
