Third action game, accompanying the premiere of Star Wars: Clone Wars. We play the role of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who on the planet Rhen Var are trying to prevent the Confederacy troops from taking over the deadly Sith's weapons called Dark Reaper. The game is divided into two segments, in which we fight in the air at the controls of machines and in the traditional way with the use of light swords and Jedi power.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a TPP action game for PS2, GCN and XBX that was released to accompany the premiere of the second part of the new Star Wars trilogy, in which players take part in the conflict between the Republic and the Confederation of Independent Systems, playing as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The game was created for Lucas Arts by Pandemic studio, known for such titles as Battlezone II or Dark Reign 2.
The action of the game takes place after the events known from the film. During the recon mission, Anakin and Obi-Wan witness the attack of the Confederation troops on Rhen Var, a planet of seemingly little strategic importance. It turns out that it didn't happen without a reason because that's where the mysterious Sith's device called Dark Reaper is located. It is able to extract energy from living beings and concentrate it, using it as a powerful weapon. Our heroes will have to prevent the activation of this deadly weapon, which can destroy the entire galaxy.
The game consists of a total of 16 different missions, which are divided into two main segments. Players spend most time fighting in space battles when piloting diffent ships, each equipped with two types of weapons, acceleration, and a special ability. In the game, however, there are also sequences in which players fight classic close-quarters battles as Anakin or Obi-Wan, using the inseparable lightsaber and two Jedi powers.
In addition to the solo campaign, there is also an extensive multiplayer mode, designed for up to 4 players. One can choose from several gameplay variants, including Deathmatch, Conquest and cooperative survival mode, in which players enter combat either when piloting their starships or on the traditional battleground. In multiplayer mode, players can stand on either side of the conflict and also use Confederacy vehicles, which are not available during the campaign.
