Puzzle arcade game, loosely inspired by a board game called Carcassonne. In Square Valley we create our own little "worlds" by placing tiles on a board covered with a grid of square fields.
Square Valley is a puzzle strategy game, loosely inspired by the board game called Carcassonne. It was developed by rycekube studio, which belongs to an indie developer - Ryan Becijos.
Game mechanics
In Square Valley we observe the action from the top-down perspective. We play on the boards covered with a grid of square fields. As a Spirit of the Valley, we have to change the landscape and build various structures in such a way to meet the requirements of the inhabitants. To do so, we place tiles symbolizing, among others, houses, farms, fences, trees, animals, roads or rivers. It must be remembered that the individual "tiles" must match each other.
As we progress, the difficulty level of the challenges increases and new obstacles we have to face come to the fore. A limited number of available tiles is also a certain difficulty. We earn points and we can improve our results by completing levels again. Additionally, the fact that some elements are generated procedurally increases the replayability.
Game modes
The pillar of Square Valley is the story mode, in which we can find three chapters containing a total of 45 puzzle levels. In addition, the position offers a sandbox module, in which we can play without any limitations. As a substitute for playing with other players, we can share photos of our little "worlds" with the whole community, as well as publish our results in online rankings.
Technical aspects
Graphics in Square Valley is made in simple, but at the same time colorful, clear and pleasant to the eye style.
