An innovative platform game in which we play the character of the title Spidy. We travel through different locations, defeating enemies, avoiding obstacles and collecting food.
A platformer in which we take control over a nice spider, visiting interesting places and solving simple riddles. Development studio Enigma Software Productions is responsible for the preparation of this production, known for such titles as Angels vs Devils or ExcaliBug.
During the game we play as the title character of Spidy, and we have more than twenty different boards to overcome, inhabited by other insects. The gameplay is largely based on the use of the DS touchscreen console. This is how we create cobwebs, collect food, set traps, get to higher shelves or defeat enemies. The latter appear in many varieties, and at the end of some stages we have to deal with exceptionally powerful bosses. In contrast, in some missions Spidy can count on the help of his friends in order to avoid bigger obstacles or unblock further roads.
The duration of the game is extended by numerous bonuses and power-ups, which are hidden in subsequent locations. In addition, we can gain achievements by unlocking additional game content. In addition to the single player mode, this production also offers a fully fledged multiplayer, in which up to four people can participate in the game (cooperation or competition).
A big attraction of Spidy is full support for the NDSi webcam. For example, you can draw a level project on a piece of paper, take a photo of it and convert your sketch to an electronic version. Ready maps can then be shared with other players or manually tested in action. The visual setting of this production presents a typical level of workmanship for other platformers available on the Nintendo handheld console. Great emphasis was placed on providing a realistic model of the physics of the game world.
