Spice Road is a strategy-merchant game that takes us to central Asia from the time of the so-called Silk Road and the period of sea journeys focused on the trade in spices. Aartform Games studio is responsible for the production.

The main task of the player is the construction and development of a town located on a spicy route - our success in this field depends primarily on the amount of spices flowing through the controlled territory. The greater the commercial influence, the broader the opportunities open up in virtually every field of the game - we gain access to new buildings, armies or technological solutions, accelerating civilisational changes.

The game leads us through three industrial epochs, which means that the challenges faced by the player are varied and strictly tailored to the conditions set by the commercial market. Choosing the right way of development, based on mass production or searching for rare, precious objects, determines the further character of the game. Of course, we must also take care of the satisfaction of the inhabitants of the colony and put in order and organise a defence against the invasions of our neighbours. A very important element of the game is also taking care of the spirituality of citizens - erecting objects of worship not only increases satisfaction, but also increases the influx of tourists, which are another important source of income. The creators also made available a simple diplomatic module, in which we can determine the terms of trade agreements or sign various pacts.

The game uses the proprietary StormRaid Engine, which allows you to reproduce the Spice Road environment in full 3D. The visuals are simple and easy to read, and the production interface is not too difficult to operate.
