Reincarnation of a two-dimensional platformer known from the NES console, in which we play the role of an incompetent traveller. We travel through caves full of dangers and treasures to gain glory and wealth. The game has been adapted to the HD standard.

Spelunker HD is an improved version of Spelunker from the Nintendo Wii console, which in turn is almost the same title as Spelunker on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) released in 1987. Both latest versions differ from each other only in terms of graphics and a dozen or so layouts. Tozai Games is responsible for their conversions.

The story tells the story of a clumsy traveller, an adventurer who travels through caves in search of treasures and precious, ancient artifacts.

Spelunker HD (Spelunker) is a two-dimensional platformer. Our hero has about 100 hands to defeat, differing in opponents and place of action. A total of 10 worlds were made available to the player, in which each levele was located. Playing is about getting from one point to another, but it is not an easy task, because on our way we encounter all the adversities of fate. It is necessary to fight against ghosts of other travellers who have not managed to get out of the cave, snakes, spiders or bats equipped with poisonous venom. In addition, the place of action is packed with traps, unstable backgrounds and other life-threatening things. To survive we have to use ladders, elevators, ropes, put bombs to pave the way forward, collect keys to open the passages and use flares that illuminate the dark alleys.

The title is characterized by a very high degree of difficulty. It often disappears and success provides a perfect understanding of levels. The PlayStation 3 version of the game is a collaborative game for 6 people. The Nintendo Wii version does not have this mode and has a much worse graphic design, almost identical to the original from 1987.
