SpellForce 3: Fallen God

SpellForce 3: Fallen God is the second add-on to the SpellForce 3 after Soul Harvest released in 2019. The game was produced as an independent expansion and was developed by the developers of the main game from the Grimlore Games studio.

Plot

SpellForce 3: Fallen God campaign takes us on a journey to Urgath, a small continent of the Eo world inhabited by many civilised races. It is also home to a tribe of nomadic trolls led by Akrog. The young leader has a lot to worry about. His people, banished from their land, became the target of poachers looking for troll tusks, and the survivors are being overrun by the plague. When it seems that the clan's fate has been decided, a mysterious elf shows Akrog a way to save the tribe: the resurrection of a fallen god. A desperate troll grabs his last chance and takes his people on a long journey that will lead him through Urgath.

Mechanics

The gameplay, combining real-time strategy (RTS) with RPG elements, have remained unchanged from the basic SpellForce 3 version. The biggest novelty is the addition of trolls as a playable race. The race is distinguished by its unique mechanics, which give it a nomadic lifestyle. The devs have also expanded their heroes' personalisation options by adding new skill trees, among other things.

Game modes

SpellForce 3: Fallen God offers a new feature campaign with trolls in the lead. It introduces a previously absent solution: our decisions during the game affect the heroes' abilities. Moreover, these elections will determine how the story of Akrog and his brothers will end. The add-on also introduces a new feature in online gaming: a ranking mode based on one-on-one clashes.

Technical aspects

The graphics have remained unchanged, although the Grimlore Games team did not fail to add a new soundtrack, emphasizing the atmosphere of an unknown continent. The game also includes extensive moderation tools to help you create new maps.

SpellForce 3: Fallen God is a standalone add-on, which means that the expansion does not require a basic version of the game to work.
