Spectrum is a two-dimensional platform game in which players complete complex levels each one with different gravity. The game features a simple but demanding gameplay model and minimalistic visuals. The game was created by 3D Avenue studio and published by Digerati (Frost, Fall of Light: Darkness).
Mechanics
Spectrum is an old-school 2D platformer. Players observe their character from the side-scroll perspective. Their task is to complete consecutive levels. There are several dozen maps made in several different styles. The characteristic feature of the game created by 3D Avenue studio is the variable gravitation: the conditions on each level can change at any time - at one moment players move their characters as if they were flying, and a moment later they settle down on the "ground" and can complete a given level in a more traditional way.
Game modes
Spectrum offers single player mode only.
Technical aspects
Spectrum delivers interesting 2D visuals. Its main features are minimalism and clarity. The maps consist of clearly visible lines and blocks while the colors are intense. One never sees too much at once on the screen. On their adventure, players are accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack.
