Spectraball introduces a new style of gameplay through physics-driven platforming. You will explore a diverse range of environments, experience high speeds, avoid traps, solve puzzles, play mini-games and unlock bonus content with an achievement system.
Features:
In addition to the core gameplay, we also wanted to add some variety through a collection of additional features. Below, we will explore what some of these other features are.
Achievements:
We really wanted to focus on the achievement system. Achievements are earned through completing a list of goals. Each achievement gives a certain number of points which you can later use to buy additional in-game content such as:
New skins and variations for the ball
New bonus maps
New music tracks
New mini-games
Of course, in addition to the points earned through achievements, you will also have a list of what you have accomplished (bragging rights!). Examples of achievements to be earned in the game are:
Collecting various hidden items (e.g. you might earn an achievement for finding 25% of the hidden items in the game)
Beating maps within certain time constraints above and beyond those required to progress through the game normally (e.g. beat a map in 35 seconds when the standard required time is 120)
Reaching a certain high speed or altitude
Leaderboard:
Spectraball will have its own online leaderboard which you will be able to access from the game. It is here that players will be able to check how they rank against other players.
Mini-games:
Spectraball will offer a variety of mini-games, some of which will be available to the player initially and others that will need to be purchased with achievement points. Some of the mini-games that we plan to include are:
Spectrabowl (bowling)
Basketball
