Spartacus Legends Description
Spartacus Legends is an action game about gladiator fights, set in the Ancient Rome. It draws inspiration from a popular American TV series about adventures of Thracian slave Spartacus. The game was developed by Kung Fu Factory Studio in Los Angeles, known for Bellator MMA Onslaught, Supremacy MMA, or UFC Undisputed 2009, which sets the team as experienced in developing fighting games.
In Spartacus Legends, the player takes on the role of either Spartacus or Crixus, or create his own character. Then he takes part in the career mode, which provides a series of training as well as battles at various arenas across the territories of the Ancient Rome, including the Roman Colosseum and the gladiator school in Capua. The ultimate goal is to become the best of all fighters.
Spartacus Legends offers both single player mode as well as multiplayer. When fighting against AI-controlled opponents or against your friends you can use thousands of combinations of strikes, numerous items of gear and weapons (the gladius, shields, tridents, nets, etc.), a rich system of special skills, and a wide range of configuration options of warriors. Easy to tell, the title is full of brutal combat.
The developers from Kung Fu Factory involved Liam McIntyre in the works – the actor who played the titular role in the TV series. He lent his voice and appearance for the computer version of Spartacus.
In terms of graphics, Spartacus Legends looks good. Character models of gladiators have a lot of details, so does their equipment, whose looks faithfully reflects historical facts. Music is a kind of tribute to the show, as it draws inspiration from it, and adds dynamism to this brutal fighting game.
