A three-dimensional action game in which players play the role of a young pilot of a spacecraft, the last hope of humanity's survival. The game offers ten missions, six different spaceships and power-ups to enhance the combat capabilities of the vehicle.
Space Debris on PS1 is a three-dimensional action game released in 2000, in which we play as a pilot of a space fighter and participate in dangerous missions. The production was created by Rage Software, creators of such titles as eRacer, Wild Wild Racing and Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising. The game was released in Europe by Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe.
Plot
In Debris Space Debris, released on PS1, we play as James Bryant, a space fighter pilot working for the UED organization. The young and impulsive hero is humankind's last hope of survival in the dangerous world of the future.
Mechanics
Space Debris is a three-dimensional action game in which the camera is placed behind our space fighter. The game has ten levels, during which we fight against numerous enemy units. Throughout the game, we control six different ships, whose combat effectiveness can be further increased with power-ups found on the levels.
Individual maps are linear, although at certain points they offer paths that branch out. Moreover, from time to time, we can complete free-play levels where we can decide for ourselves in which direction our spacecraft will fly. At the end of each mission, our effectiveness is evaluated and we receive medals for our achievements.
