South Park

The South Park series probably has as many ardent fans as its opponents. With these first studio Acclaim Entertainment prepared a game that allows you to play one of the leading characters and take part in an absurd, macabre adventure, which in almost every episode are experienced by the characters of the popular cartoon.

The plot of the game loosely refers to the themes from the first seasons of the series. A meteorite crashes not far from the title town. It makes seemingly normal animals and objects start to threaten residents. Four heroic kids, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick face mutated turkeys, deadly cows, animated toys, robots, aliens and other enemies.

Considering that South Park is an adaptation of an animated series, its creators have adopted a rather bold genre convention - combining agility with FPS. The player has the opportunity to play one of the characters in the series and use various weapons to stop hordes of attackers. In the arsenal of available weapons you can find snowballs (also yellow), a crossbow shooting with toilet dispensers and a portable cow launcher. Bars and cheese crisps are used to supplement health.

The game contains a large dose of cartoon-like humour. Especially during briefings before individual missions, you can listen to typical jokes and responses of the characters in the series. It is also worth noting that the voice of the characters from the game was given by the same actors who dubbed the series.

South Park's graphics do not throw you on your knees, but it fits in well with the accepted convention. She is colourful, angular and humorous. The game uses a graphic engine, which was previously used, among others, in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. However, it was thoroughly rebuilt for the needs of this unusual production.

In addition to single player mode, South Park also offers multi-player fun. The most interesting gameplay options are "head-to-head" with a time limit, damage or completely unlimited.
