Soulframe

During the game we take on the role of the so-called Envoy who switches sides after being exiled from the Ode empire. We must do everything in our power to save the transformed divine creatures and restore the ancient balance in the world of Alca.

Gameplay

In Soulframe we view the action from a third person perspective (TPP). Adventure leads us through various places, among which we can find locations under the open sky, as well as procedurally generated dungeons. We can explore the game world both on foot and on the backs of mounts (select Omen Beasts can become mounts). In between journeys we end up in Nighthold, a kind of hub that serves as our base of operations.

We often have to face enemies when exploring the world. Battles with enemies are dynamic, and during them we must be constantly moving, eliminating opponents using melee weapons (mostly swords), bows and other ranged weapons, as well as various combat spells. The game allows us not only to engage in open combat, but also to attack targets by surprise. Apart from regular enemies, much more powerful bosses stand in our way.

As we progress, we not only push the plot forward and get to know the inhabitants of the game world, but also develop our character, collect better equipment, as well as craft new items and upgrade the ones we already have. From time to time we meet the souls of ancestors, which can provide us with temporary enhancements, and we brew various potions that increase our chances of survival. We also unlock various cosmetic items that allow us to stand out from other players.

Game modes

Even though Soulframe was created primarily for multiplayer gameplay, there is nothing stopping us from ignoring the possibility of joining teams with other players and having fun alone.
