Solar 2 Description
Solar 2 was developed by Jay Watts, a developer from the Murudai studio. The second installment in this independent series is a development of ideas used for the original released in 2009 only as part of the Xbox LIVE Indie Games service.
The player again has a chance to try his skills at reversing the mechanics of Asteroids production. In this case, it is the user who takes control of one of the celestial bodies and moves through space filled with asteroids, planets, but also spacecraft.
In addition to the standard exploration mode, the player also receives additional challenges. They consist, among other things, of attracting certain celestial bodies to each other and then moving with them to a specific place. There are also missions to destroy planets or enemy spacecraft. In the course of the game, the player must watch out for black holes and other objects that pose a serious threat.
In terms of audiovisual setting, Solar 2 resembles a similar game calles Osmos. The player is accompanied by ambient music which perfectly reflects the atmosphere of seclusion in huge space.
