A free-to-play multiplayer game from Kinguin. Sneak Out allows up to five players to pose as penguins, trying to escape from the haunted castle and capable of blending with the environment to hide. The sixth player can play as the Hunter, planning to catch the penguins.
Sneak Out is an action game designed primarily for multiplayer fun. The game, which is distributed in a free-to-play model, was developed and released by Kinguin company and it is their debut project. Prior to this title, the company has been mainly known for the digital product sales platform they created.
Plot
The action of Sneak Out takes place in a gloomy, haunted castle where a group of penguins find themselves. The protagonists must find a way to activate the portal and escape from this place. The matter is greatly complicated by the fact that they are hunted by a grim reaper who will stop at nothing to make each of them fall victim.
Mechanics
In Sneak Out we watch the action in an isometric view. The gameplay differs depending on whether we belong to a group of five penguins or whether we play the role of a reaper hunting them called the Hunter.
Penguins should cooperate with each other (although they can also try to act alone), performing the tasks set before them, solving puzzles and facing various dexterity challenges. Moreover, not wanting to fall victim to their tormentor, they must use unique abilities that allow them to sneak and use various hiding places. Penguins change their appearance and resemble elements of the environment, as well as set traps for the enemy or fly on broomsticks.
Those who feel confident enough can try to mock the Hunter. When one of the penguins falls victim to an adversary, they can support the remaining team members as a ghost, waiting to be revived by their teammates. The hunter has his own set of skills that allow him to track and attack penguins, as well as instill fear in them and lure them out of hiding.
Regardless of which side of the barricade we stand on, we can modify the appearance of our characters by using a wide range of costumes and cosmetic accessories.
