Snakeball is an extremely dynamic arcade game, distinguished by relatively easy to understand gameplay assumptions. The described product clearly refers to the hit titles from mobile phones, at the same time offering a number of improvements. We take control of a creature riding a snake-shaped structure. Our task is to swallow multicolored balls, so that the hose becomes longer and longer. The whole game is based, of course, on the necessity of gathering as many objects as possible, but in such a way that in the meantime nothing else will strike. Snakeball is one of the titles distributed as part of the PlayStation Network service. This means that the only target platform for this game is PlayStation 3.
This product offers three main play modes. In the basic single player mode our task is only to collect the balls on the board. We do not have to worry about anything else in this case. In Challenge Mode, there is already a hindrance in the form of computer-controlled snakes controlled by opponents of other snakes. Definitely the most interesting is the multiplayer. The games are organized on the Web, and up to eight players can join in a single battle.
In case of playing with enemies there is of course a well-known obstacle in the form of blocking the road. Snakeball is therefore very much focused on mutual rivalry. Interestingly, players can not only block their way, but also steal the balls collected earlier. For this purpose, among other things, various power-ups are used. Of course, the whole is played in a fully three-dimensional environment. The action can be observed from many different cameras, showing the players in close-ups or from further shots. Snakeball also offers support for the PlayStation Eye webcam, which allows you to modify the default appearance of a controlled player.
